Hey all gun ban proponents...?

I have changed my way of thinking ,I used to be against gun's only because I had small children in the house and never thought it would be an issue,Then my brother was murdered in a robbery homicide in the same house I lived in,It changes you forever! I was also being stalked by a flower delivery man I dint even know SO,I WENT TO A COUPLE SHOOTING RANGES TO CHECK IT OUT ENROLLED IN A GUN SAFETY CLASS AND GOT A CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT,HOPEFULLY I WILL NEVER HAVE TO USE MY WEAPON BUT I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM !

Anti-gun people make me so mad!!! ; / If someone's anti-gun, I'm anti-them. Criminals are going to be carrying guns no matter what, even if it is outlawed, so why shouldn't everyone else be able to defend themselves?! I think that everyone should have a gun and know how to use it - if a criminal knows that any old lady on the street could have a gun, they wouldn't try to mug her. Or if some young woman could have one, she might not be raped. If everyone had a gun, I think that crime rates would drop significantly - even if you can't physically keep yourself from harm, you cannot be overtaken because you have the fire-power advantage. It evens the score. In Britian not that long ago, carrying concealed weapons was outlawed and the crime rate tripled, I beleive. Sorry that I've ranted so much on this, but that really is one thing that I feel strongly about, and I always have. And I'd like to see the person who'd try to mug me...; )

Yes she did and if only one of the professors and students at VT had a legally carried firearm then maybe a lot of people would still be alive.

In my state to get a concealed permit you must take training on when, where, why, and how to protect yourself including a shoot don't shoot house. There are fifty targets and to pass the course you have to get each one right. The course is never the same. There are almost 200,000 variations possible. All permit holders have to pass once a year.

Yeah, I saw the article earlier. Good for her! She showed knowlege and restraint in her use of the gun. Nobody killed, crime thwarted.

For those who feel that all guns should be banned please keep i mind that only the law abiding would obey the ban. Also, one of the things that helps to keep our government from total degeneration is the fact that we do have an armed public.

I never thought ALL guns should be banned. I think there is a right to have and own firearms for personal protection, collecting or sport.

I don't think there is a reasonable need for an assault weapon to be privately owned. Other than a gun collector, there is no reason for them to be there for the common public to purchase. I think the police and military should have access, but that is it. If they are available to the public, then the criminals can get them as well. THAT is where the trouble begins.

I think you need to spend your energy defending a right that is in more of a position of threat. Like freedom of speech.

There aren't enough people who think all guns should be banned to make any difference. Why are you worried about them?

If all guns are outlawed the only people who HAVE guns will be outlaws. Smart lady!
