Here's the thing. Parents blame cartoons and video games for their children's actions. If you want to shelter you kids then you shouldn't allow them to watch TV at all. Including the news..A little boy hung himself over his bed after hearing about Saddam being hung. Let your kids watch anything and after they watch a show talk to them about what was right and wrong and make sure they notice the consequences of actions they make.

My son is 6. I don't let him watch the Power Rangers, Cartoon Network, or any of the preteen shows on the Disney Channel like That's So Raven. He really likes Spongebob, Little Einsteins, The Wonder Pets, and anything on Animal Planet.

I do not let my daughter watch "Teletubbies". The show makes no sense to me and they don't talk right, so I see absolutely no reason for the show to exist.
We also collect the Disney movies, but will not get, nor let her watch "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". There is a song in there about desire and such and it is not appropriate for a young child.
We don't really let her watch the Cartoon Network shows, because they are for older kids.
My daughter is 3.

Southpark, The Sopranos, even daytime soap operas have quite a few love scenes in the middle of the afternoon. (if your child is home, sick from school.) Even some of the stuff on MTV gets quite unappropriate for kids say 14 or under. And even Maury Povich has been blowing my mind lately with all of these teenage girls who have no idea who their baby's daddies are.
