How to go about obtaining a legal representative?

I am not sure if people usually post questions with this depth of seriousness, butI am in desperate need of advice!

I need an attorney to regain the gaurdianship of my child. I signed gaurdianship to my aunt when I was incarcerated b/c I knew she would take care of him. Now...she doesn't want to let me have him back!

Please don't lecture me on doing bad things...I learned my lesson! I was incarcerated for a crime I comitted about 2 years prior. I have completely turned my life around. It seems like, the better I do, The more she tries to keep me from him.

I am working so hard for this.

I am a full time college student, I have a full time job, and a part time job as well. Please don't tell me to just forget about it, and let her have him...that isn't an option! He could have much more out of life being with me, and I refuse to give up.

I just need any advice about what to say to an attorney...what to ask for...anything! Thank You in advance!

Update:

I will quit the part time job when I do get him back...It is basically to save money back for emergencies. I attend an online university so...it fits right in my schedule, that can also be changed if I need to. Thank you so much.

I probably don't have all the answers you are looking for, but my first suggestion is to tell your attorney exactly what you have said here. Be honest because all of these details would surface anyway. Be positive and be a positive role model. Be willing to negotiate a partial win with the prospectus of gaining full custody once again. Good luck.

Just tell an attorney what you told us. However, the courts are going to want to know who will watch your son while you go to school and work both jobs. You need to have a plan in order first, but a good lawyer will help you with that. All kids should have a chance to be with their parents, if you can be a good one. You can start by getting the visitations to reacquaint your son with you and work your way to full custody.. talk to a lawyer.

If giving her guardianship was done through a legal matter, you'll just have to go to the same court and let them know all about the situation.

An attorney will help you. You have a full time job, and a part time job, and a full time student?? Will you have time for him?

Get an attorney. He's your son. Good Luck
