Do you trust the FDA?

I was gonna bring out what you said in your question. Approved, disapprove, approve. So what's to believe?

Trust the FDA? NEVER. Anytime a medication is taken OFF the market because it is dangerous, remember, it was the FDA that allowed it on the market in the first place. Remember Vioxx? There are so many meds on the market right now that have not been properly tested. No, I don't trust them. I think I will stick with alternative medicine, mainly vitamins, that have been use for centuries and have withstood the test of time.

Because we are idiots. I have no choice but to trust some of what the FDA says, but yeesh, it is a poor place to put my trust.

The FDA is so deeply steeped in corruption I wouldn't trust them at all.

Just look at their history with aspartame and stevia. Even compounds that they have determined to be dangerous, they do not enforce the removal of them from personal care products. Also, they have members on their board who vote yay or nay on the very products they receive kickbacks on. Doesn't sound too subjective to me...

Like with most governmental programs and departments, it was started with good intentions. But once corporate greed and politics get involved, that's the death knell.

It's not doctors making the decisions based on thorough scientific studdies. It's political appointees deciding with manipulated figures and handsome payoffs for a favorable decision.

The FDA is dumb. Exept when they ban diet pills and stuff like that.
