Have you ever read the US Constitution?

There are so many questions I see here every day that seem to indicate a lack of understanding of the most basic tenants of the Constitution. It's so important to read it! As an American, I keep it on my computer as a reference and read it through about once a year. Here's a link.

Update:

Yep, TENETS. Didn't mean to sound like an idiot.

Yes. I read and re-read it on a regular basis. Wouldn't it be nice if our Congressmen, Senators, and Supreme Court Justices read it every once in a while?

I think that every bill passed by the Congress should quote the section, paragraph, clause, or amendment to the Constitution which authorizes that law. I could just see the head scratching now. . .

Yes I have...I took a couple of college classes on it...so when I answer questions about it, I am quoting facts...no what I heard on the Colbert Report, the Daily Show, or from moveon.org...what the Liberals see in the Constitution is far different than what it really says...half the stuff they try to push on the Constitution would have Jefferson rolling over in his grave...

In my opinion, most people have not and try to give what they believe is in it. As a current high-school student, and a conservative, i have read the constitution (albiet not very in depth) and believe that what it says in there is what goes. Or that's the way it was written and intended to be by the forefathers.

Yes and I plan to enroll in school this fall to study it in great detail.

Every American should be familiar with the Constitution.
