The Queen wouldn't allow them to use the tractor even if you could find such a small tractor. The Queen is paranoid and would fear her worker slaves, armed with the advantages of modern machinery, would quickly overthrow her. The ensuing worker ant anarchy coupled with their total lack of knowledge of the proper use of a tractor would ultimately create a totally dysfunctional society and they would eventually start eating their eggs, larvae, children, and each other. The last surviving ant would then plow the tractor head-on into the side of the farm, shatter the ant farm viewing window, and spill sand all over the place.

    Not a good idea.

You don't need a tractor. Make those little ants plow those fields the old-fashioned way. They won't mind as it will give them a chance to show off for the Queen.

When driving along the highway, I noticed I was running over a predominant amount of ants. One would assume it would provide less traction, but absolutely not, they built up tread. Therefore ants attract traction. Does that make em tractors?

Are they red ants or black ants? You need to colour coordinate that. The red ants would look great on a black shiny lil tractor.

And a nice and shiny lil green one for the black ants.

If the tractors don't work out, you can always find tiny lil mules hitched for the ants to drive.

More importantly, where do I get an itty bitty gas can for my tractor that my ants do use? They are just about out of gas, and the crops due to come in. I'm afraid to gas it up though, because I don't want to flood them in gas, kind of "Apocalypse Now" moment come to life.

They lately are clamoring for an itty bitty combine and truck also. Where does it end?

If you talk to these guys they could probably build you one. It is 4.788 mm. It is about the size of a grain of rice. It should do the trick and it shouldn't be too costly to get a whole fleet of them so that you can make your ant farm a profitable endeavour by leasing yourself out to do custom work.

Ant farms actually utilize fly larvae as a "workhorse" if you will. Just like the pioneers used bison to pull the equipment needed to work their land, ants use maggots. I'd suggest catching a male and female fly to raise your own larvae. Some will suggest meal-worms but, believe me, your ants will appreciate decent equipment.
