Friends mom out of work on disability???
A friends mom got out of a "stressfull" job on disability, because she said she could not handle it anymore. She gets a good paycheck and says that she should of done "this' along time ago. There is no visable disability just stressfullness. She says she is depressed and on depression medicine. Exactly, how does one do this? Is this legal?

Her physician must have determined that she is depressed and unable to work as a result of the stress caused depression. And, she must have disability insurance of some sort--either short term through her employer, or long term. It is vaguely possible that she is collecting social security disability, but that is very unlikely for a mental disability.

The 3 most difficult thing to diagnose , as far as pain and disability are concerned, are back, arthritis and mental.
For the casual observer it is almost impossible to tell if they have a genuine problem or they
are milking it.
Also, depression is being recognized more and more as an illness, not necessarily a mental illness. ,
Whoever is paying the disability benefits has the option of having their physician examine the patient as often as they reasonable require. Also, they do require ongoing documenetation from her doctor to be sure disability is continuing.

~ A disability is a condition or function judged to be significantly impaired relative to the usual standard of an individual or their group. The term is often used to refer to individual functioning, including physical impairment, sensory impairment, cognitive impairment, intellectual impairment or mental health issue. This usage is associated with a medical model of disability. By contrast, a human rights or social model focuses on functioning as an interaction between a person and their environment, highlighting the role of a society in labelling, causing or maintaining disability within that society, including through attitudes or accessibility favoring the majority. Disabilities may come to you during life or you can be born disabled.
Common usage refers to 'a person with a disability' or a person who is 'disabled' or, more controversially, who is 'handicapped', 'differently abled', 'retarded' 'lame', 'handicapable' or a 'cripple'. Some prefer to only refer to specific 'disabilities' rather than to a generalised sense of 'disability'.
