Do you think Yahoo is going to sell itself to Microsoft? At a greater market cap they would make money but...

I read in the news today that there are rumors that Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo Inc. Do you think Yahoo would sell to Microsoft. Personally I hope not and wish Yahoo would compete with Microsoft eventually in the Operating System software arena. But what do you think?

I think that yahoo will not sell to Microsoft. but if yahoo is falling under then they will sell out to the highest bidder. That is the way of the world, look at delta, they were able to rebound and get back into business. But i don't think yahoo will sell out because they have enough money to go around and are a major competitor in the operating system software arena. But google sold and they were not in a financial problem, who knows. I hope that yahoo doesn't sell to anyone and keep doing what they are doing.

blabbidy blabbidy, who cares is the answser.

Best to invest in the "next" yahoo or microsoft, if you know what I mean. Invest in the company where last week your friend said "hey, you gotta see this, this is awesome, its a new gadget on the market, man I'd like to own a piece of that company." You'll earn a lot more money that way.

ya know there's an awful lot of zeros in 50 billion dollar soft offer! but its more likely Ya-hell would lease the search to MS rather then sell outright? still ...there are all those zero's!
