Where is the hood release cable located on a 77 Pontiac Firebird Formula?
Just bought the car and cannot find the hood release cable. Anyone know where it is located on this car?

Hi!! Now you are speaking my languge, I have built 3 Trans Am's. Your Hood release will be under the front liscense plate, Underneath the front clip but before the rock gaurd. It looks like a "T"
P.S. Sometimes it helps to push down on the hood at the same time you pull, older TA's seem to stick a little.

You cant. I have looked every where for one. You cannot find an OEM new Hood. The best you will be able to do is find a hood thats in good shape from sobody that deals in parts. sorry but thats life. I have one by the way. and its in damn good shape, but i live in south texas and cant ship it

Jason C. has you covered, however, we must ask you, why did you buy it before you looked under the hood, just kinda wondering.
