what kind of subwoofers and amps should i get for good SPL?

That pioneer is junk.... I really don't see why people keep posting it.

I would go with either Fi BTL, RE MT, DD 9900, Kicker L7 or Solo X, MTX 9500

Personally I would go with the BTL for price reasons and performance.

70% of all winners use kicker for a reason.... because they win!

lol you honestly think because its the world record holder it means its a good sub? Its not hard to get 11 woofers with 157,000 watts to get loud.... any idiot could do it.....

In all honesty.... how can you say a sub with a sensitivity of of 89 dB is a "good" spl sub? Maybe if you guys would actually have some experience with some other brands you would know the difference

Oh and just to let you know.... the RE XXX stomps the sh** out of that pioneer so don't go around saying its the loudest!

if you want good SPL go and get some kicker L7 or kicker solo x. Soundstream actually makes a XXX SPL woofer, so u may want to look into those as well. I love kicker woofers, but dont think because you get their woofers you have to buy their amp to. Kicker amps suck ***. Check it out perfect ******* setup and I guaruntee you will love. Go get 2 12in Kicker L7 and a ported box. THen find yourself the rockford fosgate power series one ohm stable amp. The exact model number of the am Im talking about is T1001

I have 4 12" Kicker Comp VR's and 2 Kicker ZX 750.1's, and it hits about 153db... with the gains and bass boost at less then a quarter up. Theres very little distortion. I'd say that kicker amps kick a**. Although ive heard kicker goes best with kicker, im sure that a rockford or mtx amp would beat the s*** out of those subs too.
