Jermemiah 29:11...."For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord...Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope & a future".

***Why? Because I have had a really rough childhood & many years of drug addiction & now I am free! and everything God has said to me, He has accomplished! He is wonderful!

I love the whole Bible its words are so powerful and life changing. I would have to say one of my favorites is" For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. " That has to be the most powerful and loving verse in the whole Bible. Total Instructions on Eternal Life! Thank You God! Holy Bible KJV John 3:16

"Jesus Wept" from an earlier answer is found in John 11:35

I don't have any favorite Bible verses because they are ALL my favorite. Out of the blue tho, I really like this one:

    1 Samuel 16:7

The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

The First Epsitle of Paul to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verses 1 to 13.

"Love is patient, love is kind..."

It is so long.I like the verse because it gives you insipration on how to define love. It isn't only an inspiration but it has a true meaning.

    Blessed is the man

who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither.

    Whatever he does prospers.

    -Psalms 1-3

I love this because of the simple fact is the Word is saying that the man who does not counsel, or fall to the "world's" way of doing things, but delights in the Lord, do the Will of the Lord and really have totally completeness in the Lord through His Word and through prayer, that the man is just like a tree planted by the rivers of Living WATER. Because you were placed in a place where their is water, refreshings, you will yield fruit in the season appointed and your leaf will never wither, you can't die and dry up because you're planted i Jesus, who is the water. What so ever this man does will prosper. That's powerful!

lovely...you see..there was a question ;like this before..i tell you and then i go to cook..

the best thing in the Bible is the revelation of the truth...

i mean..the New Testament..is brought by Jesus and shows among other imortant things for our salvation..shows Who is Jesus ...well..Jesus said '' I am the Truth , The Way..and the Life...''

so imagine that only a God could say such words...so Jesus is Son of God..and not a creation..or a man..being Son of God..He is aslo a God...as Ortodox and catolic dogmas say....about the Holly Trinity..

so Jesus is The Truth..the Way..and the Life..meaning ..the Truth is that God exists and Jesus is His Son..meaning that everything Jesus said are part of eternity..and absolute truth that cannot be denied....the Life...means that there is no life outside God..and Jesus and Holly Spirit..and the way..God conceived God for us..and our feelings..and everything..and the Way...means that wjhat Jesis said is the way to get through this life...and the way to get to Heaven...

Archeologists near mount Sinai have discovered what is believed to be a missing page from the Bible. The page is currently being carbon dated in Bonn. If genuine it belongs at the very beginning of the Bible and is believed to read 'To my darling Candy. All characters portrayed within this book are fictitous and any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental'

I have so many favorites, but this is one of the ones that I keep posted on my desk.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

No matter where I go or what I do, I have the hands of the Lord on my life and He will take care of me. I will follow Him wherever He leads me . . .knowing that where He leads me is where I am meant to be and where I will find peace in my life. :)

i don't know exactly where it's from, but i've always liked the shortest verse on the bible: "jesus wept."

i just grown this kind of fond for the phrase, even so because it's the only phrase i remember from the bible =D

Finally a meaningful question! I really love the whole Bible, but one of my favorite books is Isaiah. Isaiah 51:12-16 is a great one. Check it out!
