Weight Gain... ?
How much weight did you gain - and how fast?
I'm about 5'4 ... pre-pregnancy I was about 128lbs.
I'm 22 weeks pregnant - and have gained about 5-7lbs.
Is this too little? All the books I've read said that I should be about 13lbs heavier - and gaining 1lb per week from here on out... ?
I go to the doctor again on Friday - I'm sure they'll yell at me for not gaining... what do you think?
I DO eat ... like 10 times a day... just not huge meals, and not ding-dongs lol.
This is my first pregnancy. I am 22 years old.

I had the exact same pre-pregnancy height and weight as you (due Sept. 4) and I also only gained 7 lbs. Many women gain 30 lbs, some only gain around 20. Don't worry - we both have plenty of summer months to gain weight. My maternity clothes are still loose, but don't worry - every body is different.

It really is different for each person. I had only gained about 5-10 pounds at 22 weeks, too, but shortly after that was when I started gaining all of my weight. Right now, at 36 weeks I have gained about 30 pounds. I'm sure your dr. will say everything is ok. Some ppl only gain 15 pounds or so. I thought I was one of those ppl until about week 30 when I realized I was gaining steadily. lol. Good luck and don't worry.

Hun, don't worry about your weight unless your doctor says something. I didn't gain a single pound until I was about 19 weeks along..and then I gained 10 lbs in one month! I'm now 36 weeks and about 25 lbs heavier. My doctor never once yelled at me, and when I told him I had lost my appetite, he said it was normal and to just keep trying to eat healthy. You seem to be doing fine, esp. since you're avoiding those ding dongs! Every pregnancy is different, and every woman is different. There is no cause for concern unless your doctor says something, and even then, he should say it nicely and not yell at you. Congrats on your pregnancy and best of luck to you!

Well I'm 37 weeks pregnant and only put on 15 lbs in total, I'm not complaining that's for sure lol.
Every woman is different and considering the size of your baby at 22 weeks i would not worry. You will start to put on half a pound a week after 34.
My last pregnancy i put on 40lbs so there is no right or wrong weight as long as your baby is healthy.
Good luck dont worry.

You should be fine. With ym first pregnancy I didn't gain much at first at all, I didn't show much. THen one morning I woke up when I was abotu 6 1/2-7 months along and i had this HUGE belly in front of me.... :) I wouldnt worry as long as you eat right and stuff. Every human body is differetn. You are abotu my size adn age(before both my pregnancies) so just take care of yourself. You can't always go by what they say. Every person is different. If there si a problem, your doc will let you know. Good Luck and congrats!!!!!

I gained about 20 pounds total with my daughter. I am 8 weeks with my second and have actually lost about 4 pounds. And I haven't even had any nausea or morning sickness. Weird. If you are eating healthy and taking your vitamins, you should be ok. My doctor has already told me to gain more because I am underweight (5'3", 112 pounds). So, yeah, they'll probably get on to me at me next appointment, too.

I am 13 weeks 3 days and I have gained 2 pounds so far.
I also eat all the time, just small portions.
This is my thired pregnancy-- I began this pregnancy at 127 pounds and am now 130..
I think your just fine, that baby is getting it's nutrients it needs, many women dont gain alot of weight and have big healthy babies...

You're lucky, i'm 27 weeks and have already gained 24lbs, i'm 5'4 and was 130 pre-pregnancy and my baby is showing light in weight.
I wouldn't worry as long as you are doing what you can to stay healthy and your doctor doesn't show any reason for concern, then everything is fine. Pregnancy effects everyone differently.
