How about just have some balls to tell your girlfriend that you were avoiding her at that day?!? It's better to tell her frank than lie about it.... you should know somehow she'll find out the truth and that will freak her out and might get mad at you...

they can use, "im working late today" "im sick" "i have to help out a friend today" or if they say there coming over to see you they just wont plane show up! its sad...
