The reason the questions are not showing is to do with the 'filters' the Yahoo! Answers use.

When you submit a question, the site scans through the question, and if you have used any of the words in the list then the question is sent to moderation.

The list contains many swear words, as well as words that can either be totally innocent or offensive, depending on content. There are also words linked to subjects that are often found to be argumentative or insulting on Yahoo! Answers.

The question is read through by someone from Yahoo! and if it is deemed to violate the community guidelines, it is deleted. If they find that nothing is wrong with the question, it is placed back in the list of questions according to when you submitted it.

It means that it rarely makes it on the front page, and therefore is unlikely to get many (if any) answers.

People may find your question when they are browsing through the list, but it may be worth asking it again if you want lots of answers.

The only way to solve this problem is to not use any of the words on the list. We don't know what the words are though, so its a tough one! You'll see that some people guess which words are on the list, which is why you find then using @ or $ symbols in some words.

    Hope this helps :)

Sometimes alot of people ask questions at the same time and your question might get pushed down to another page. Check the specific category that you posted your question to and see where it is.

Not every question gets on the front page and questions are immediately posted, they don't get sent anywhere. You can see your own questions when you go to "My Profile" and click on your "My Questions" tab. If you go to the category where your question is in, you'll see it.
