Did anyone here ever NOT have Braxton-Hicks?

I'm not pregnant but when I was pregnant with my daughter I never, ever had Braxton-Hicks contractions. Not even a twinge, the very first contractions I had was when I started labor. Is there anyone else who never had a Braxton-Hicks contraction?

Yes i never had a single Braxton Hicks with either of my pregnancy's i used to think maybe i was a little strange as just about everybody i spoke to was having them except me.

I was the same as you, with my first contractions being the start of my labour.

I didn't have Braxton Hicks with my first either. I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks and started immediately with real contractions...very painful and they caused dilation, but was able to hold off until 31 weeks. With this pregnancy, I've been feeling Braxton Hicks since 21 weeks and am being watched carefully so I don't have another premature birth. While Braxton Hicks are more uncomfortable than painful for me, I'd much rather have a pregnancy without them!

Yes, I know the feeling. I am pregnant with my second child also but when I was pregnant with my son I NEVER had Braxton Hicks. My husband didnt really believe me when I said it was time to go to the hospital becasue I was having contractions. He was with me when the Doc said I would have Braxton Hicks and dont confuse it witrh labor contractions. Thats what my husband thought I was experiencing. I screamed and told him I had to go to the hospital and if I wasnt in labor then I wasnt sure I would live through labor. I knew that as bad as my stomach was hurting I had to be in labor. Sure enough it was. No I never had Braxton Hicks either. I am glad someone finally understands. LOL.

I had 3 kids and not a single Braxton hick. Well, I am currently 35 weeks with #4 and have had Braxton hicks since 18 weeks and already was admitted for preterm labor but had it stopped 2 weeks ago. Every day I get atleast 10 BH and it sucks.

With my first, I didn't have Braxton Hicks, I had the real deal starting at 29 weeks. I delivered my son at 34 weeks. I knew they were real because they ALWAYS hurt and they were changing my cervix...when they admitted me at 34 weeks to have my son, I was already 5 centimeters and 100%, and I had 4 episodes before that where I had intense contractions...they always were able to stop them though. This time however, I am 38 weeks, 3 cms and 70% effaced...I have had BH's everyday for the last 4 weeks...at least for 2 hour periods a day. I'm sick of it!! LOL I think today may be the day though...I hope! :)

Yes i had painful braxton hicks that woke me up, i had them very more often than not at 35 weeks, and i used to be dialeted to three cm however nonetheless Went sooner or later over due. Take a hot Bath or placed a heating pad on ur again, drink chamomile tea. Youre frame is progressing for exertions, youre nearly equipped. Also make certain u drink alot of water, constantly have water bottle through ur mattress at night time

I was exactly the same way. I kept waiting to have them because I thought it was something that every pregnant woman experienced. The first contraction I had was at the start of my labor. And there was no confusion or doubt that it was the real thing.

I think you can have them and not feel them. There were times that I wondered if I was having them simply because I felt so tight, but more like I had eaten too much. When this would happen sometimes I could touch my belly and it seemed harder than usual, but I wondered if I was imagining things.

Of course, I didn't feel the real contractions either. I had a c-section, but when I went in that morning for the surgery, they told me I was having good contractions.

With my first child I didn't have any braxton-hicks either. But with my second child I had them all the time. Ouch!

I never did. My uterus would tense up for a half an hour at a time. That was all fine and good until it did so during labour, then it caused some panic.
