I am a single mother of a two sons 8 and 1 1/2 years old and two daughters 6 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old. I am in the process of a divorce after being together for almost 9 years, life is definately changing for me. I work part time as a Legal Secretary and full time as a Mother.

  • Valentine's Day suggestions?

Okay so my boyfriend and I (who both just came out of 10 year relationships, where our exes didn't do or enjoy anything romantic or special and we are both romantics) are celebrating our first Valentine's Day together this year. I have a bowling tournament during the day and he has to work. I want to do something creative and inexpensive. However, I'm unsure of what to do. I'd like to leave something at his work, in his car, work truck, house, etc. So that while we are both missing each other during the day he can get little reminders of my love for him. Then save something big for at night. Any suggestions or ideas would be welcome. And if there are any males interested in answering, what do you think are nice gifts, etc.

    THANKS!

  • What are some safe stores to have sex in the dressing rooms? ?

Okay I don't want to hear the eww that's gross, or it's illegal, I know all those things your entitled to your opinion but I don't want to hear it unless you have a suggestion. Now, my boyfriend and I are interested and doing this...of course we aren't going to be loud or obnoxious about it but it's exciting to be a little risque once and a while. I live in Wisconsin, does anyone know of some good department stores with full length walls/doors? I appreciate any positive suggestions! Thanks and remember live life to the fullest and try anything once for all those who think its wrong! :)

  • How to tell our children that we are "boyfriend/girlfriend" after a divorce?

My husband and I separated about 7 months ago after quite a few years of ups and downs. Our children never really saw us together except for Sundays due to our work schedules, so the separation process hasn't been a big adjustment to them since we were never together anyways. About 4 months ago I began talking to a wonderful man, that I have known for years but we were both married. Now he is divorcing as well as myself. I have an 8, 6, 5 and 1 1/2 year old and he has an 8 year old and almost 4 year old. The kids get along great and we all enjoy each others company. We gradually introduced the kids to each other and began doing things all together. Just recently we decided to make it official that we are a couple, how do we tell our children? They see us together quite often and on New Year's Eve when we had a gathering they saw us kiss for the first time. So I need some help explaining it to them, any suggestions?

  • Which exercise equipment would I use? I'm a first timer.?

Okay, I won a 3 month membership to a gym and I'm really excited but I don't know what to do first and how to get a routine going. I am a mother of 4 - 5'3" 125 lbs. My object is not to loose weight but to tone my body. My main issue is to gain strength in my legs, tighten the butt, and gain endurance again. I've never really worked out before. I could use some suggestions or knowledge as to how to go about this.

  • When does baby babbling start?

My son is 8 months old, he is my youngest of 4 and hasn't started babbling yet. I don't want to compare, but I know the older 3 started saying "mama" "dada",etc. around 6-9 months. He screeches, and does raspberries, but no real words/sounds. Except when he is crying with his hands in his mouth in his crib. You might get a mama out of it because he's chewing. I'm not really concerned because he crawls, sits, eats finger foods, etc. But I can't wait to hear his little voice. Any input?

  • Why does my baby move his head side to side when sleeping?

My son is 4 months old and constantly moves his head right to left and left to right when he is asleep. He's been doing this since he was around 6 weeks old. I have 3 other children and they never did anything like that. Does anyone know why he may do this?

  • United Health Care Question: Preexisting Condition?

My dad hurt his knee in July but hates going to Doctors but he can't take it anymore and needs serious treatment (possibly a torn ACL). My mother got insurance in August and now my dad thinks he needs it checked out. Because the injury occured a while ago- will that be considered preexisiting? I mean if the man was waiting for the coverage he would have gone in as soon as her coverage began but he is stubborn and now needs to go. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Loans, while husband is unemployed?

My husband has been unemployed for 3 months now, bills are piling up quickly. School is about to start and that's only going to bring on more bills. What kinds of loans can we get to help us pay off some credit card, mortgage, etc.? Will the fact that he is unemployed affect the loans? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  • How to help a friend deal with a miscarriage?

One of my best friends found out 3 weeks ago she was pregnant after years of trying. (She has an 8 year old daughter). Everyone is so happy for her, however yesterday she went for a transvaginal ultrasound to determine fetal age because she was irregular and didn't know how far she was well, they did not find a viable heartbeat. They scheduled her for next week Tuesday to try again because maybe she's not very far along. The hard part is, I have a newborn and so does her cousin and a close friend. I've heard people have issues seeing babies, etc. I want to be there for her, but what can I do or say? I've never had to deal with this kind of situation before. I'm sure it's not the last time either, so any advice to help me be a good supportive friend would be greatly appreciated.

  • Child Tooth Abscess?

My son is 6 1/2 and has a gumboil on the right side of his mouth. The first molar on that side cracked in October. My dentist told me not to come in unless he was in pain. Well he hasn't been until now. What is the procedure they might do to get rid of it, seeing it is a baby tooth, will they pull it or what?(We have to switch dentists and I can't get him in until tomorrow afternoon)

  • Breastfeeding and Pumping?

I just began working again due to extenuating circumstances. My son just turned 3 weeks old. ( I work from 9-12) I nurse right before I leave for work and as soon as I get home from work. However while I am at work my husband gives him a 3 oz formula bottle. I would like to give him breastmilk but I don't know when the right time to pump would be. (I can not do it at work) and I am with my son otherwise. How can I get a supply of milk without interrupting his schedule of nursing. (This is my fourth baby and I know just about everything there is to breastfeeding except for this.) Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I will be 37 weeks tomorrow and have been dialated to 2 cm and 50% effaced for 5 weeks now. This is baby #4 for us. I'm nervous, I've heard it works or it doesn't. What is your input? Should I be ready just in case it works? Or take it with a grain of salt? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
