Does anyone know how to spell and punctuate questions?

After looking through numerous questions and answers on this site, I can't believe all the spelling errors (there's a Spell Checker, y'all), failure to capitalize proper names, and using capital "I" sometimes and "i" others--in the same sentence!!

If you know how to ask here, why don't you ask on the Web and try Goggle for your homework answers. Take a look at the space between words that gets left out like crazy.

"Does anyone know how to spell and punctuate questions?"

<<This is poorly phrased. Did you mean to ask if people knew how to spell questions? I'm sure you meant to ask if they could spell IN their questions, but that's not what you asked.>>

"After looking through numerous questions and answers on this site, I can't believe all the spelling errors (there's a Spell Checker, y'all)..."

<<You do not capitalize "Spell Checker.">>

    "...failure to capitalize proper names..."

<<This is incorrect when using the phrase you started with, "I can't believe all the..." The easiest fix would be to add an "s" at the end of failure.>>

... and using capital "I" sometimes and "i" others--in the same sentence!!

<<Good lord!!!!! A typo!!!!!!! Will wonders never cease? i think not... ;)>>

"If you know how to ask here, why don't you ask on the Web and try Goggle for your homework answers."

<<If you are so against using Y!A, then why are you posting here? Also, I believe Google is spelled with two o's.

"Take a look at the space between words that gets left out like crazy."

<<This line is so horrible in so many ways! Sheesh!>>

Mind you, I'm sure I have plenty of errors in my post here, but I'm not the one whining about everyone else's posts.

Edit: I almost forgot to try and answer the question you meant to ask. I won't bother with the one you actually asked. Yes, there are people on here who know how to spell and punctuate, and these people sometimes use these skills to ask a question here. Sadly, you appear not to be one of these people.

I think in this text-message based world, people have decided (very unfortunately) that spelling and punctuation don't matter, which really makes deciphering some of these question nearly impossible. I was just reading several questions to my boyfriend last night and out of 10, only one made clear sense without trying to interpret or second guess the intent.

I can spell almost any word in the English language. I'm good at grammer too. I agree that so many questions and answers sound like they are from a first grade kid. This does irritate me, because I thought I'd be getting questions from more mature people. This is what I would like to see, not some uneducated kids asking silly questions just to make more points. I want to answer something people have a real need to know.

Well, I think people use incorrect spelling because they care more about the question then being judged on spelling. This is a site dedicated to answering people's questions not practicing for the national spell-a-thon. But, I do agree that some questions are completely unnecessary and can be found on wikipedia and google.

But don't you think that you could give them a break? We're not turning in homework assignments or fiscal reports, we're just trying to communicate no matter how poor the punctuation or grammer. Ease up "Teach" before you bust a vein.

It is a regular grammar disaster here...or it might be said 'grammar got run over by a reindeer'. I do not type very well so the spell check get used a lot to do quick edits.

The English American style is not a perfect language of itself. So stop being anal or get off the site.

There shouldn't be a comma between site and I.
