In Ringu (1998,) how does Sadako die, who kills her, and why does he kill her?
Please be as brief or as detailed as you want, but names would help immensely. I've been searching the web for a few hours trying to look for the entire plot, but people just give summaries. The information I request above is all I need to get my Asian Studies done. I'm trying to explain how Japanese horror is way scarier because of the cultural elements present in their horror.

Sadako was killed by her father. Her mother *a mind reader* was giving a live demonstration of her powers but was ridiculed by the audience..saying she was a fraud and the whole demonstration was rigged. Her mother was afraid of the mob and Sadako, wanting to protect her mother* used her own powers to kill the first man who started the scene. He feared Sadako's power and her thrown into the well
*The Manga of The Ring also tells this story. Great Manga..just as horrifying as Ringu*
