Yes, but so what...those are the types of things that will make your wedding memorable. If you go to 100 wedding, 99 of them are exactly alike, with different people standing in and the colors are different, but otherwise, one wedding is pretty much the same as any other...your idea would at least be a little different!

On the bride's side, I have usually heard it called Man of Honor, not Best Man (that's the groom's head guy).

No, its not strange its just that if you wanted to have a best man, you should have let your fiancee have a maid of honor.

My sister-in-law had a "best man" stand up for her at her wedding..she didn't have the maid of honor though.

I didn't / don't think that it is strange. I think it is cool.

I think it's great that you have a best man, a little strange that you have a MOH as well, but go for it. It's something I always thought I'd end up having, but my best man and I aren't so close anymore.

    Man of honor?

If your husband gets to have his own maid of honor as well as a best man, then I guess it's fine.

No, I think it is a great idea. As the bride we should be able to have our male friends stand up with us too. Good for you for breaking with tradition and honoring him. Congrats.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have a matron-of-honor, and 2 bridesmaids and my fiance will have a bestman, a groomsmen and one of our mutual female friends on his side just to even everything out.

The attendants are for both the bride and groom. If there is a guy you want as an attendant, he would be a groomsman. Just as if your groom-to-be had a sister, she would be a bridesmaid.

well, technically he'd be your man of honor or a male attendant. But no, I don't think it's strange.
