Does the Harry Potter movie series distort J.K. Rowling's own version of Harry Potter?

Like the rumors of Hermione and Ron..or even how Harry Potter looks like...do you guys think Rowling just moved with the media's perception of "Harry Potter"? I remembered that when the first book came out, "The Sorceror's Stone," the cover had a boy on a broom. Then, when the movie came out, all her book covers seem to resemble Daniel Radcliffe instead of the first boy on the first book cover...I don't know...what if Harry Potter wasn't made into a movie? Do you think we'll still feel the same about these characters?

Yes and No.I enjoy the stories, but I do wish that she could have finished the books first because I cannot help but feel that the books are following the direction and the feel of the movies.

I don't really think so - it's hard to ignore the success of the movies. But Rowling claims to have known where the series was going from the beginning. And Daniel Radcliffe was cast because he fit the description of Harry. I think the covers have changed a little - they do look more like Radcliffe, but hey, he's always going to be identified with the role, so it does affect the way we imagine Harry.

Harry is also a year older with each new cover, so his appearance changes, and the books have become so much more popular since the first ones came out that the look of them has gotten more sophisticated.

I don't think the movies have had an effect. JK Rowling is involved in the making of all the movies to keep them true to the books not vise versa.

    was like Draco what a

    snob...but now with the

i have all those books and i dont think they change the character's appereance..Well, they grow up, like everyone we change, maybe trying to make the characters on the cover seems like the actors is not problem in my opinion
