Hostel????

I think they spent all their time and money on making it super-gory and trying to be scary and forgot the basic plot and acting skills you need to also make a halfway decent film.

What did I think about it? Honestly, not much. I went in w/ low expectations and wasn't disappointed. I know it's supposed to be a horror story *ie high on gore, low on plot* but this was too much even for that.

Sader part is, Hostel II is coming out.

i've seen it loads of times. i'm also right into horror/gore movies. hostel is quite brutal in places but i've seen more extreme stuff then that. hostel 2 is out very soon. i'm looking forward to it. it'll be more of the same only this time its girls getting tortured.

the movie itself is okay. i've seen better. it has made the genre "torture po*n" mainstream. before this movie came out it was quite hard to see this kinda stuff. fred vogel has been doing this stuff for ages and more graphic. as you'd expect the japanese have been making this sort of stuff for a while also. not sure who started it though.

if you switch off your brain its a good film, well i thought so. it was apparently taken from a courtroom testiment from a guy who went travelling with friends and came back on his own, with fingers missing and a terrifying story....

the second hostel is crap though

i thought it was ok u never know if that happens lol didnt help that ma mate gave it to me 2 days before me and ma kid was going to stay in a hostel.

the story/plot was good but for some reason it just had a 'cheesy' feel to it, which made for hard viewing, sort of like the teaxas chainsaw ones, could have been made so much better

Its a good film with a splash of sex and a dash of gore, cant ask for more really !

I thought this film was good.Not so much scary but this sort of thing probably goes on in the world.

am i easily pleased i thought it was really good ok ive seen better ie the chainsaw films wrong turn etc still it was NASTY enough for me
