is there some way to revert to the old version of yahoo answers other than system restore?

There really is no OLDER version -- this version, with only a few changes like additional categories, etc., has been around forever. It sounds like you may be seeing something "new & different" and that may actually be the result of a corrupt cache file. It happened to me and I was TOTALLY shocked and hated what I saw. But you CAN fix this.

Yahoo answers format cannot be controlled by you. This is a programmed site, controlled by Yahoo and uploaded to their servers. Whether you prefer the 'old' version or this one, is of no consequence to Yahoo, and there's really nothing you can do about it. Sorry.
