I absolutely love Terry Moore's comic book series "Strangers in Paradise." (I know it's not a strip, but that's what came to mind.) All of his female characters are very well-proportioned. There's a character who is chronically overweight who eats ice cream in the dead of night... The series is ending very soon, but you can get trade paperbacks... Amazon sells 'em.
The story is really good, too. I haven't read the end, but I'm dying to!
