I think MN Dave Lee is thinking of the his modded Evo that he built in Grand Turismo. In real life an Evo 8 with 300 hp might do about 5 sec flat if you dumped the clutch after revving it to 5000 rpm. An LS1 should be right around that, I am not a big fan of Camaros but it is tough to argue with 5.7 liters. Torque should also be ~310 or so. Curb weight is 3300 lbs, so it could dtand to lose a little weight. On the plus side GM has been making this engine since before Honda started making cars so performance parts are cheap and plentiful. You could even turbo it without breaking the bank and then you would have a 3.5/11.0 car.

They are rated at 340 lb-ft of torque. That same engine made 365 ft-lb in a GTO. Its probably closer to that but they didnt want to 1 up the Vette with another Chevy that cost half as much.
Fastest time I saw was a 4.9 0-60.

It depended on the year of the vehicle. Jump through the hoops on that website. After selecting the car you want, click on "Specs" under the Vehicle Features title to the left. That will give you the horsepower, torque, weight, and a few other factors for each vehicle.

Not sure on how much they weigh, but it's light enough that I dragged it across my shop and out the door with ease after removing it from my car (it was blown up and had to make room for a stroker). As said earlier, go to www.ls1tech.com. You'll find more information than you'll know what to do with there.
