What is wrong with people???

DOVER, N.H. — Mitt Romney's visit to New Hampshire started on a sour note Tuesday when a restaurant patron declared he would not vote for the Republican presidential contender because of his faith.

"I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon," Al Michaud of Dover shouted at Romney when the former Massachusetts governor approached him inside Harvey's Bakery. Romney was kicking off the second of two day's worth of campaign visits in the lead primary state.

Romney kept smiling as he asked, "Can I shake your hand anyway?"

Michaud replied, "No."

Michaud later told reporters he was not "a right-winger," alluding to some evangelical Christians who have compared Romney's faith to a cult. Instead, Michaud stated he was "a liberal."

He said he planned to vote for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., should she win the Democratic presidential nomination.

Heres a good look at their true nature from History.

This one happened 150 years ago but I think its still relevant because Mitt Romneys church pardoned a terrorist mass murderer of Americans in 1960 and now Romney is running for President.

    MOUNTAIN MEADOWS MASSACRE !!

It was September 11, 1857. A wagon train of 160 settlers on their way to California was massacred by a bunch of Mormons dressed in Indian clothes. 17 children under the age of 8 were spared and lived to tell their story.

1st. They dressed as Indians but after five days they changed tactics.

2nd. Then they went a bit away ,dressed back into normal clothes and acted like the Rescue Party who had negotiated a deal with the"Indians".

3rd, Then confiscated all the guns as part of the deal for "saving" the travellers and Mormon dissidents( who were the reason for the attack in the first place).

4th. Took everybody off a mile or so and shot them all. 2 men got away but were eventually tracked down and killed a day or so later.

5th. Took the 17 children they had not killed back with them to Salt Lake City.

6th. Got away with it. After a publicized trial, with the childrens own testimony admitted into the court, only 1 man was convicted and shot, John D. Lee. ( pardoned by Church 1960)

It ended up being called the Mountain Meadows Massacre. The first time in U.S. history that U.S. citizens were massacred on U.S. soil by religious wackos. This event is even more significant because the total U.S. population at the time was much smaller.(I dont know the exact numbers, maybe only 30 million or so) In todays numbers it would be around 1400 dead

While I support Michaud's right to vote for whom ever he feels is best suited for the job, I am appalled at his behavior.

Whatever happened to basic decency and common courtesy in this country?

I may be an ultra-conservative, but that doesn't mean I'm rude to the other side. I try to be polite to everyone, even if it was the Clintons.

Unfortunately religion colors attitudes. You can see that all over the world, unfortunately.

The United States has a constitutional right for religious freedom. However that does not mean people have blinders - the religious right makes that apparent.

In my part of the world the Southern Baptists rule ....not in New Hampsire. This will be a very interesting election. Now I know why they started so early.

Mitt Romney is disfavored for being a Mormon for which people associate a bad image. On the other hand, Hillary Clinton is favored by liberals being a Democrat.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who between Romney or Clinton will likely win.

Mormons believe if you live a good life you become a god when you die.

They have secret names so after they die they can find each other.

Mormons believe in wearing special underwear with some sacred symbols this saves them from harm.

You can be baptized to the Mormon faith after you die so, they have secret ceremonies over people who were not Mormons

There IS no Trinity like other people believe. God is God, Jesus is the Son of God and the Holy Ghost is someone else.

Apparent dinosaur fossils are the machinations of Satan. He shaped rocks as if they had been bones of past giants to deceive the very elect.

At some future, secret time, select priesthood holders will be called to a special, secret meeting to prepare for the imminent return of Christ.

Joseph Smith saw God the Father, Jesus Christ, and received dozens of other angelic visits (Moses, Elijah, Peter, James, John, John the Baptist, etc) But in order to "translate" the Book of Mormon, he still needed to resort to magical devices (a kind of 19th century crystal ball) and to wear a breastplate with supernatural powers.

That "Men" and men only can perform miracles, and women can only receive these benefits from "Men".

Joseph Smith will help Jesus and God judge us at the "Last Judgment", because he is the prophet of our dispensation.

and it goes on and on

    Your choice

I would be very worried about Romney

It's not what is wrong with people, it's what is wrong with liberals. I think you will find most of the attacks on Romney's religion are from the left & wouldn't vote for ANY Republican.

As can be seen from the article alone, a lot of people are against Mormons.

Moral judgments aside it's ultimately the right of every voter to vote who they like. That's what a democracy is about.
