Comic book help?
I have been trying to find this comic book from my youth. The main story was Superman was captured and Batman used a machine that temporaly gave him Supermans powers, after Batman frees superman he begins to burn up so he has to get back in the machine so it can take back the powers. This may have been a annual. A second story in the book is about Capt. Marvel. Its a short story I remember some crooks are robbing a bank a have some device that makes it so no sound can leave the room. Billy is in another part of the bank. He cant say Shazam because no sound can be heard. Some how he becomes Capt. Marvel by saying Shazam into a tape recorder and playing it. This is a very old comic. probably late 70's to early 80's.

I've come across three issues of World's Finest Comics that might have the story you are looking for. Issues 260 and 273-274 involve Batman having super powers. Both books came out around the time you mentioned. To see which books jog your memory as the one go to this site and look at the covers for these books: http://supermandatabase.com/modules.php?op=modload...
You won't be able to read these books online but you at least can see the covers and get a little info about the books. Let me know which one it was. Personally I think it's issues 273-274. If you ever need to find some info on a Superman book or just want to see the cover art go to the site at the source.

I can't remember the exact issue number but the only book that had a Captain Marvel series in the same book with Superman and Batman team-ups was "World's Finest Comics". You might still be able to download a readable copy at www.aibq.com

The series "world's Finest Comics" was a team up book w/batman and superman and back up stories of less popular heroes. I think its your best bet. take a look at this link. Its a site that shows you comic book covers. Once you find the book then you can buy it on a site like eBay happy hunting.

I saw the cover for the first one; I think it occurred in Detective Comics or World's Finest Comics, but I don't know the number. Don't know the other one.

Nah, no longer likely. Sorry, Darth. I do like a number of them, although, yet many times, i'm only no longer a comedian form of guy. Deadpool and the cousins from Bone are my favorites. probable Bone. likely.
