Does anyone out there know of a DOG friendly weed killer?
I have 3 dogs and would love to have a nice looking back yard, however, I do not feel at ease to use any chemicals around the dogs. The backyard is THEIR domain, however, it can still look presentable. I currently have a pregnant Golden Retriever and I would hate for anything to happen to her or the pups (as they are all spoken for already).
um...done the pulling the weeds by hand...thank you. i have a patio we put in with patio pavers and the weeds come up through the cracks...not always easy to pull out by hand. Thanks

Actually Round-Up is non-toxic to animals as long as you use it on a sunny day and keep the animals away from it for about 3 hours after application. It breaks down to non-toxic chemicals when exposed to sunlight in a very short time and does not persist in the soil. That's why it is so widely used.
Source(s): I do wetland restoration projects for a living in areas that are sensitive habitats. Round-up is the weedkiller of choice to get rid of noxious weeds before we restore the native plants because it breaks down quickly and does not persist in the soil. It is very toxic to plants but not to animals, especially after it has broken down. - ?Lv 45 years ago
Absolute nonsense. My canines have been ingesting Beneful because of the fact they have been 3. i've got tried Blue, to boot as some different "healthful" and "organic and organic" manufacturers, yet my Rottweiller needs his Beneful! basically determine you're getting the smaller Incredibites on your breeds, so they do no longer choke on the bigger kibble :)

Get a garden hoe or pull them up by hand. Then there's not any chemicals involved at all.
