  • My 2005 Chevy Impala SS needs help.?

My Impala has the low traction feature and lately it has been engaging at inappropriate times (not icy or wet, etc). There was a message the light that stated SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM. So I took it into the shop and they said it could be a sensor in the ABS or they were not sure. I made an appointment, took it in and of course it would not do what it was doing prior to taking it in for repair. As soon as I left the car started doing it again. The low traction kicks in all the time when I am braking. Could this be something with my tires needing replaced? Brakes? And if it is something in the traction system, is this an expensive fix? I use my car for my work and so it is important to have it working properly as soon as possible but not sure what needs fixed.

  • Can you give me some ideas for AKC names?

I breed Golden Retrievers and each litter we have a theme...this year they were born close to St. Patrick's day so we are using that or just IRISH names for the litter. Any suggestions...my puppy families are stumped. Thanks.

  • What do I do for a garge door (has opener) that sticks on the tracks?

I have tried WD40 but tends to freeze up and still not let the door glide up with ease. Is there anything I can grease the tracks with? What good is a garage door opener if I have to get out to push the door up??

  • Our rabbit needs a new home, any advice?

My daughter WON a bunny 3 years ago at a local festival and the poor thing just lives in her room in her cage day after day (even if my daughter forgets to feed her for a couple days)...I feel bad and want to find a home for her (the rabbit not my daughter...lol). Does anyone know what kind of organization might take a rabbit? She really doesn't fit in with a house full of retrievers (we breed Goldens). thanks

  • Puppy with Bladder infection or UTI ?

Bladder infection in my new puppy???

I have a new baby (Lilly) she is a 9 1/2 week old Golden Retriever puppy. I noticed yesterday that she is urinating all the time (or trying to...but only outside). She is already trained to go to the door when she has to potty. I do not notice her in pain, any blood or discoloration of urine, not really any MORE accidents in the house or non in the crate and she has just been switched foods this week. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT HER VET, but CAN'T GET AN APPT. until tomorrow. I just wanted some opinions and/or advice to know if anyone else has experienced this or if someone might know if these are symptoms for a bladder or UTI infection. I haven't been a new puppy mommy for 5 years (other than litters that pass through my home and I never have them at this age so it's just hard to remember). Thanks for all your help. I'm not an idiot just need to revamp my puppy way of thinking. Thanks for your help.

  • Can anyone tell me where?

I can find information on the IAMs controversy (harsh testing on animals, etc...). I have looked online but not sure I am getting the real story on this.

  • I raise Golden Retrievers and usually wean the puppies on IAMs Lg Breed Puppy food.?

However, a family who adopted a puppy last year from me, is also getting another from this litter and has posed a concern...She feeds her dog Nutro Holistic formula (which she said cut down on waste and shedding). Now I am wondering...should I start these pups on IAMs or change to the Nutro Natural Choice Lg Breed Puppy food? I have never had any problems with IAMs in the past, but she suggested that they have downgraded their ingredients and are now using more fillers. Any suggestions before I wean these pups?

  • How to deal with irrational prospective puppy families?

I breed Golden Retreivers and we have one litter per year. All pups are spoken for before breeding even occurs, this time I had over 30 people waiting. My problem is I had several names/contracts of families waiting for a puppy (needed 6 females and 2 males at the least). Well the puppies are here and we got 3 females and 4 males. SO...I had to make a hard phone call to a couple wanting a Female. They were 4th on the list and so I apologized and offered them pick of the final boy. This woman became irrate and crying, etc...said I was unethical and it wasn't fair. I said I was sorry again and explained the situation. (I put a lot of effort into all my litters and screening families, etc. and this was a shock to me). A few days later I sent a puppy update to all families and oops her name was still on the mailing list. She replied to each and everyone on the list using obscenities calling me names. This has NEVER happened before. I am thankful that she is not getting a pup.

  • Any ideas?

I breed Golden Retrievers and each litter we have a "theme" for AKC names to help our families name their new babies...our litter is due 6/19/07. This helps keep track of the litters and makes naming their pups fun. The last litter was Valentine's day Last year so of course that was the theme...just need some ideas. Thanks.

  • Does anyone out there know of a DOG friendly weed killer?

I have 3 dogs and would love to have a nice looking back yard, however, I do not feel at ease to use any chemicals around the dogs. The backyard is THEIR domain, however, it can still look presentable. I currently have a pregnant Golden Retriever and I would hate for anything to happen to her or the pups (as they are all spoken for already).
