Batman Vs Doctor Who?

has there ever been or will there be a Batman meets the Doctor comic or anything. I think it would be a awesome Idea like if the joker teamed up with the master or the Daleks, or what IF Batman fights the Doctor for some reason

Dr. Who has been around for a long time (original run: 1963 to 1989) and I only became interested in the series with the launch of the recent Sci-Fi Channel version. Now, I'm very interested in viewing some of the older serial versions.

Time-travelling heroes who use future tech make great stories. Booster Gold (down on his luck night watchman) is another character in comicdom who I'm interested in reading more about. Though he doesn't time-travel, he does bring in info about the future plus enough tech toys to make him interesting, I think, to many readers...

From what I know about the good Doctor... he's very bright but impulsive. In a matchup versus Batman (who plans every detail, picks up weaknesses based on the slightest clue, has genius-level intellect in many fields not to mention supreme fighting skills) - I'd have to give this confrontation to Batman time and again.

Getting them together to visit a far-off future would make a great story, I think.

A not disimilar matchup featured the X-Men & Star Trek: The Next Generation in their own novel. The concept was great and the story worked fairly well.

I like the Batman films, to a point (esp. the Val Kilmer one...mmmm!). But the villains always seem either ludicrous (like The Joker or the Penguin) or overdone, like Catwoman (except in the series, when Julie Newmar played her...other than that, the series was dreadful!).

Re: Dr. Who, he's too frumpy and nerdy to be taken seriously...like the Ned Flanders of sci-fi.

You pose a great question, both have the detective/inquisitive mind, both have really awesome gadgets/tools, both fight crimes in their unique styles. It would be neat to see the two team up, but it probably won't happen due to licensing agreements.
