What character from a novel would you most like to hang out with and why?

It's hard to narrow my favorite characters down, but I'm thinking I'd like to spend time with John of Gaunt and Katherine from Anya Seton's "Katherine", and the whole gang from Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" novels.

Yeah -what you said. Especially Diana's world. I have a special bond with Lord John Gray. I really am comfortable with him. He is such a good guy. There is a new Lord John, "Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade" coming out in either Sept. or Oct. Very Promising..

I think Jamie and Claire would be a bit intimidating. But I like Rog and Bree, Ian and the kids, and Adso and White

Wow, I love your people--2 of my favorite books at one swoop (John & Katherine are such a romantic story, really--even in real life).

While I do like all the Outlander books, I suspect I'd be more comfortable with Roger; he's a little less intense.

Now, to pick someone new...Master Robinton from the Pern books by Anne McCaffrey. Duncan McLain & Dhugal MacArdry from the Deryni books by Katherine Kurtz. No reason in particular.

Hayden Lane from Jude Deveraux's "Remembrance", she is witty, funny and just a great character all around. Dougless Montgomery also from said authors "A Knight in Shinning Armor". I love these two gals!

I'd love to hang out with Huckleberry Finn. He's always having adventures, and sees the world with such clarity. I think he'd be a lot of fun to have around.

I'd love to hang out with Rudy, Liesel, and Death from Marcus Zusak's "The Book Thief." Rudy is a total laugh, Liesel is definetly interesting, and Death is... well... Death. And he's pretty deep. Read the bok and you'll see what I mean!

Duncan O'Neil from "Rehearsal: A Different Drummer." He's a Scottish rock guitarist who is passionate and reserved, loving and guarded, and very hot, but also very well able to protect himself and those he loves.
