No. Energy drinks consist of electrolytes, caffeine and sugar. They are an expensive waste of money, but won't actually cause harm. You'd do just as well with a pint of tap water into which you put a pinch of table salt, a no-doze and a desert spoon of sugar.

Yes, there have been a few cases of priapism--an erection lasting for hours, without sexual arousal--that appear to be linked to excessive consumption of so-called energy drinks.
It's not something you can expect, but if it should happen to you, at least you'll know why. I understand it's the caffeine.

I think this is absurd. If it did, wouldn't there be many more such claims. Maybe the drink companies put this out to increase sales
