A/C situation on 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT?

I just bought a 99 Grand Prix Gt and when I turn the air on it blows cold on the passenger side and not as cold on the drivers side. When I close off the vents on the passenger side then my side cools down just a little but not as cold as the passenger side. Do I need to have my A/C recharged or do I need to replace something like a blower moter resistor or something like that? A little puzzled here......

your a/c and heater system has doors that direct the air to flow certain direction when is a/c mode or flow other direction when in heater mode the air is not directed in the correct direction. you need to find someone who knows how to work on that to fix the problem. you could shut off the hot water to the heater . but that doesn't fix the problem.

Try a google search for 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix and the sites for commons complaints will come up. I know intake manifold gaskets on that v6 are big happening. Not too bad otherwise, from what I looked up about them recently.
