If you could get to the root of why the world is so messed up, would you try to fix it?
Let's say it's stopping the serpent from tempting Eve and Adam. Or maybe getting the chance to destroy the gene that causes violence, hatred, bigotry and other evils. Would you fix it? Or do you think we'd be messed up even more?
Ahem. Let's say you could get to the root at it's genesis.

The world was not mans creation, however it was given to us to care for. we have already what is needed to "fix it" its a simple matter of choice, 1- trust in God to do His will 2- teach His truth, so others may learn and receive that truth, 3- wait for Jesus return, in His time will everything become "fixed"
will going back in time and preventing Eve from being deceived and convincing Adam to sin, every thing has a purpose, learning what your purpose is, is the real fix...something to think about

The root of all evil is the selfish human ego; that root is easy to get to; getting others to transcend the root is another matter; its something each soul will have fix on their own.
Get to the root at its Genesis? That means that you would have to be totally innocent; without experience and at that point the root is not within your reach. Are you so blind that you can't see that what religion has judged as original sin was actually the original opportunity to become conscious? The universe does not judge us for becoming aware, it judges us for not accepting our state of awareness.

We live in different worlds. We live in a varied world that for every example of "messed up", there is a contrasting situation that is not messed up. Wanting to see the world as being messed up is a very discouraging way to live life.
You might want to change your environment and experience some of the positive things that go on in the world.
Short answer, no.

You aren't clear as to whether you mean now, or if I would need to go back into time. I try every day, don't you? The root didn't stop growing or existing. Our job is to keep hacking away at it, starting with the tentacles of it that reach into our own psyches.

There is a word for when one person tries to fix all that is "messed up" with the world. It's called Tyranny.

First: The "Serpent" was our friend. Second: Competition promotes growth and change, and that is good. Third: No, I do not believe life would be better if we were all pressed from the same cookie cutter to be just exactly the same.
