Why have I got 3 'fans'?

I seem to have acquired 3 people as 'fans'. Very flattering, but I'm not sure who they are. I can't remember whether I answered questions for them.

Why do people do that? What's the advantage for them?

Because you're good in mathematics and you help other people through your knowledge. You may be a "star" rather popular in the section of mathematics. That's why. They want a contact that anytime they need help, you're just a click away. Like a shortlist of their friends.

I also have a fan who seems to be really a fan of mine. Why? He sees to it that his answers are better than mine by mixing my answers to other answerers so that he'll be the best. Well, I don't mind people like that. My aim is to help, not popularity.

But most likely, it's a sign of admiration. :)

  • You have 3 fans because the option was made available by the powers that be (whoever slapped this thing together). They might not even realize that they hit the fan button.

I am not sure why people do that, but fans are people that have added you as their contacts. Mabey they do it because they think you give good answers or mabey its completly random.

Yeah I also have those...at first I didnt know what they were. I don't think they get any points or anything as it didnt mention it on the page where it says how you can get points.
