Does a Near Death Experience equal Life After Death?
http://www.near-death.com/experiences/atheists01.h...
I really enjoyed reading this article. It amazes me how some are changed by the experience.
Have you had a NDE? Did it change your life? Your belief in God/or not?
I'd love for you to read the article too, it's important to the answer to the question.

No, I do not think so. Life after death is a reality, and perhaps atheists that experience NDE find their faith again.
I have had an experience, not like this, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which has a 95% mortality rate within five months of diagnosis. So for four weeks I knew I was dead. The surgeon who removed the tumor said to me in recovery, "you're the miracle man, it is benign and you must owe somebody something." It was the first time the surgeon had ever seen this.
It changed my life significantly. I believe in something, a life force, a god or whatever you want to call it. I can take the material people are made of but I can not start the engine, the life force, it is not just an electrical current, it is life and scientists cannot tell you how it works. Oh yes they will tell you you are related to monkeys, but they cannot tell you how the life force works, which makes me question the desire to argue against creationism, but yet they cannot explain how life is started, and what exactly it is.

The latest answer to the near-death experience is that the brain is dying and creates the light in the tunnel. You either believe a person when they return with this narrative or you don't. To see, with your eyes closed , can't be explained away, like hearing or feeling touch. I was hurt when only 4 or 5 and I saw clouds and angels and heard singing. That felt real and I remember it that way. My eyes were open and I was telling my mother about it as I experienced it. At 4 or 5, I had not heard about anything like that. Also, true.

Man cannot possibly know the wonders of God because we are man and not God. I have not experienced an NDE, but I have experienced a rebirth through Jesus Christ our Lord. My life is in wonder of His creation and equally in amazement of man's perversion of that creation. How can one look up at the stars at night, knowing that what they see is only the nearest surface of that wondrous event, without acknowledging God? A well known poet once said, "All that I see in nature teaches me there is a God. God said, "Be still and know that I am God." Most of us are never "still" long enough to hear what our children or spouse may say, let alone that quiet, inner voice that comes from God that says, "You are not alone." NDE's may be from God or they may be from The Great Deceiver, Satan, in his attempt to deceive each of us that we are all going to spend eternity in the same manner without regard to how we conduct our self while on Earth.
I am not a Bible thumping, revved up, evangelical who gets in your face and demands you believe as I do. I just live my life quietly and peacefully, loving my family and (trying) to love my fellow man, but like that poet, I have been "still" long enough and have observed enough of nature to know that there is a God.

I have not.
There was a man who had a near death experience. He was an atheist. While in the hospital, he said that during his near death experience he was in complete darkness. The hospital was full of dead people walking around, people screaming, and hollering. All of a sudden an angel came to him and told him something (I dont remember what it was), but in response he then told the angel that the angel must have made a mistake. The angel then told the man that God doesnt make mistakes. When he woke up he said it was the most horrific experience of his life. After his healing and recovery, he said that he wasnt an atheist no more.
I know this isnt my experience, but I had to put it here because it is an important message to all.
God Bless You!!!!
God Be With You Always!!!!

No- near death is not death.
The only reason one would have life after death is if they were successfully resucitated after their heart stopped.
If everyone really let "God" do it's thing- many more people would be dead after death- for good!!
I had a near death experience and I do relax a lot more and enjoy things that many people find trivial. I believe in myself.
I just call myself lucky!!!

I did have a NDE. It did not change my life much. It did not change my belief in God at all. I believed in Him before and I believe in Him now.
It changed my life in that I asked God if there was anything standing between Him and me and eternity. He said He wished I'd treat other people a little more kindly sometimes. Since then I have.

NDE = Life after Death?
An NDE is when someone's heart stops and they "enter" a "hallway of light" where they decide either to stop living, or return to their body to live out their life.
For some people, it causes them to change the direction of their life and they may become more religious. For others, they tend to prepare themselves for their eventual, sometimes premature death.
As for me, it just made me reassess the things that are more important in my life and live less vicariously.

I have two different stories from both my parents.
When my Dad had an NDE (he actually died for 5 minutes and was revived), he seen nothing. Notta, zilch. He decided there was no life after death. Life after death for him, meant you living on in your children. His "church" was outdoors in nature. Not even sure if he believed in a god, or any god/gods for that matter. I believe he became agnostic after the experience.
My Mom's death was different, my sister was with her, she said it was time for her to go, she could see my Dad he was there for her. She told my Dad outloud for us to here, that her girl's were good, all good. Then she told my sister Dad was in the room. It was time for her to go. And she took her last breath and went.
So which one is telling the truth. I think they both seen the reality they believed they would see. I like the fact that my Mom felt peace, it brings me comfort. (It doesn't mean that I believe her). And I like the fact that my Dad had time to come to terms with what he experienced before he died the second and final time.
You decide.

No unfortunately not. The exact experiences described by NDE have also been experienced by people who have done G force testing. The lack of oxygen to the brain is the cause of this.

You know, I hope their is life after death, but I'm not fully convinced.
