Karma Question?

Let us assume that negative Karma is repaired by repenting. i.e you lied to someone, you confess. So how can we repair negative Karma from

1. Past Lives and

2. Negative Actions that we no longer recall.

I am asking people who have knowledge of this, not opinion - Thanks

    First problem: your assumption.

Don't bother assuming. If you want reality, how can you assume?

You break kharma by being present, fully aware. When we lose contact with the present moment, we are doomed to repeat old patterns. This is kharma.

Watch your thoughts, watch your feelings, watch your breath.

The simplest way is probably watching your breath. Just do it always. If you are constantly observing your breath, your consciousness is focussed and present. When thoughts start pulling you away, just go back to the breath. You can even do this while going about a typical day of talking to people, eating, working, taking the bus, driving a car, watching a movie, etc. etc.

Be the observer, not the observed. Let kharma do it's tricks and don't get caught up in it. Let it pass through.

Past lives, schmast lives. Just let the garbage pass through.

That negative Karma comes back to you like a boomerang and with it comes a new opportunity to repair it. For example, let's say someone runs into your car. This may have occured because in a former life you stole a mulecart from your neighbor.. So when your car gets hit, you have a choice in how to handle it. You can get really mad and yell at the driver. But maybe the driver had a siezure or fainted and could not help it. Another choice would be to see if the driver who hit you was okay and handle the situation in a calm manner keeping in mind that everyone makes mistakes. By having that understanding for another, you repair past Karma as well as create positive Karma. So generally, in this life, try to be objective, try to find understanding where you feel confused or offensed. Focus on this life from a higher plane. Remember that all of your experiences are valid and essential for your soul to evolve. With that focus you will be able to repair past Karma and create positive Karma for future lives. This is called consciousness. May your path be filled with light.

We cannot repair negative Karma from Past Lives.Your past life was in another identity. The only part of you that moves on is the Soul. But the soul is the total of you.It doesn't need any Karmic adjustment.Negative Karma is not repaired during your lifetime. The law of Karma is weighed on your Judgement Day, when you 'Soul search" your journey in the identity you have now. It is the same with any negative actions. We do not need to recall them as we travel. When you take stock of your life you are in now, you may get an inkling of what your supposed to be achieving in this your earthly walk. The ingredients of the law are very simple. We are told to Love,Share, Care, and Understand.Something we find extremely hard to accomplish. There seems to be an odd idea that we pay in one life for sins in the other. Why would we bother? To return in another guise.Somewhere in God's divine plan, we are going to add up all our lives, and hopefully attain the Nirvana we seek.Hope this answers some of what you ask?

How can you repair what you can't recall.

Karma is a misunderstood philosophy. It was based on the sins of the father.

A child is born innocent. Karma is not what you did in your past, so much, as what you allow in your NOW.

Life never looks back, that's why Karma is a myth.

Life is always forward looking. We as human beings should only glance back for the recollection of a lesson learned.

You can change history in the Present, it is the only place we can do that.

I think if you have reincarnated then you have repaired negative actions in a past life.Alot of people think lets say that in a past life you hated poor people and you were rich so in this life you are born poor. That is repairing it cause you are living now what you did wrong to last life.

Karma means action, means "to do". Immediately we have an indication that the real meaning of karma is not fate because karma is action. It is dynamic. But it is more than simply action because it is not mechanical action. It is not unconscious or involuntary action. It is intentional, conscious, deliberate, willful action. How is it that this intentional, will action conditions or determines our situation? It is because every action must have a reaction, an effect. This truth has been expressed in regard to the physical universe by the great physicist Newton who formulated the law which states that every action must have an equal and opposite reaction.

The Buddha Himself answered the question. He has explained that so long as an unwholesome action does not bear its fruit of suffering, for so long a foolish person will consider that action good. But when that unwholesome action bears its fruit of suffering then he will realize that the action is unwholesome. Similarly, so long as a wholesome action does not bear its fruit of happiness, a good person may consider that action unwholesome. When it bears its fruit of happiness, then he will realize that the action is good. So one needs to judge wholesome and unwholesome action from the point of view of long-term effect. Very simply, wholesome actions result in eventual happiness for oneself and others, while unwholesome actions have the opposite result, they result in suffering for oneself and others.

    .

These people here in Galatians where forewarned and whether they confidently discard the warning or couldn’t remember is not the point. The point is they became morally corrupt , through practice, a condition from which they could not return from.

“…As to these things I am forewarning You, the same as I did forewarn You…what ever a man is sowing, this he will also reap; because he that is sowing with a view to this flesh will reap corruption from his flesh,…” Galatians 5:21 6:7, 8

Meditate. You can't really repair Karma. Once its out their its out their. You just need to suffer through it and continue doing good things. If you don't get it right this time, you will have another chance in another life.

simply says Lord forgive my sins, in a prayer mood. Listen, God knows everything you did so just say Lord please forgive me for everything I did. He will because he knows you. Let me also tell you, during judgement day, even those who died thousands of years ago will appear infront of God and God knows who they were and each of their Deeds, ISN'T GOD WONDERFUL. This passage is found in NT, but I don't recall it.

1.The idea of past lives is false:"it is appointed man once to die, then the judgement"

2.You cant, you can only repent and ask God for forgiveness.
