It's the compression shorts adding to your problem man! Also think about cutting your nails. Wash your hands and beneath the nails to help prevent infection of your scrotum.

Have you seen a doctor or asked the local pharmacist?

If your doctor has determined that you do have a tinea infection, a topical antifungal product may be used as treatment. There are a number of different antifungal products available in various forms such as a cream, lotion, spray or powder. Most are available without a prescription from your local pharmacy. The length of time required to treat the infection can vary depending on the product, ranging from seven days, to one month. It is important with all products to apply them regularly, as directed by your doctor or pharmacist and by following the instructions on the label.

After applying topical treatments, be sure to wash your hands and scrub under your nails thoroughly to stop the infection spreading.

If the symptoms are severe, or topical treatment doesn’t work or has failed previously, oral antifungal prescription medication may be used. Treatment should continue until the symptoms clear, and/ or tests performed by a doctor are clear.

I think a doctor would have a better ointment for you. Trust me on this one. Doctors have a cream for eveything. Have a bad neighbor....there's a cream for that! High interest rates on your car loan? There's a cream.

What you have may be a little worse than what you are thinking it is. Maybe that's why the OTC stuff isn't working on it. I do like the baby powder idea. Except that once you sweat a lot it's completely yucky down there.

I know that this sounds stupid but before you go and put on everything for football rub some baby powder down there and it may make things feel better. I would apply some triple anitobotic ointment on it or some hydrocordizone cream on itand maybe some anit-itch cream. If it don't go away then go to the doctor.

Probably you don't know that around the glans, near the frenum, there are some glands producing smegma and the particular "fish" smell you lament. Since we aren't all equal, in some guys those glands work more, although it's a juvenile issue mainly. Try to wash more times in a day changing underwear every day, at least.

I am an overweight female who has the same problem. I use baby powder as a preventative measure (DON'T USE TOO MUCH, IT WILL GET EVERYWHERE). I use over the counter lotrisome or walmart brand anti-fungal creme (what you have is the same as diaper rash or athletes foot). I hope it helps!

P.S. Someone told me vaseline works but I've never tried it.
