Wedding registry?

We would like to have our registry with a small company that doesn't have a registry service set up. How can we still do this? Would it be crazy to ask them to keep a list for people to order from over the phone? Would it be rude to put a link with the list on our website?

Many couples now have websites where they list the registry. Since this company doesnt have a registry service then explain that in your website and list in detail the items you want. I think it is a good idea to talk to the company as well about having a list of the items you want to help guests with phone orders as some of them may not visit your wedsite, but learn by word of mouth which company it is.

If the shopkeeper is willing I don't see much diff. between a written list and one in a computer base. After all, that's how it was done before this age of technology that we live in.

Having it on a webiste is acceptable as long as that's not the first page you open up to or you don't but a big banner saying "check out our registry" or something.
