Bruising really bad when being stuck by needles?

I bruise really badly whenever they stick me with a needle for blood or iv, is there a reason i do this? am i not getting enough vitamins in my body? they also said i have really thick skin on my hands and wrists, my veins are small and they roll, the veins seem to blow alot, i am not a good stick and it hurts really bad. example: i ahd to go to hosp other day, it took 6 tries to get an iv in. my arms are covered in diff color bruises and they hurt and pinch. is there anything i can do to avoid this? any advice. thanks

Try a homeopathic remedy called arnica, available in tablets and cream. Start taking them a few days before you go to hospital, then use the cream to ease the bruising. You have inherited your veins and skin, so here's not much else you can do. This is quite common, so there's nothing wrong with you, don't worry. During my pregnancies the midwife often tried to find my veins, sometimes it took ages. It's not very pleasant, but obviously necessary. I hope you are in good health and don't see any more needles for a while :)

Source(s): Boots sell both forms of arnica, I used to work there
