Is there a symbol for Heterosexual Pride?
You know how the gay community has the rainbow? I want to put something on my car that shows I'm proud to be hetero. Where can I find our symbol?
I'm not hating on the GLBT community. And I don't believe you have to be a minority to have a symbol. But if people can go around shouting "we're here and we're queer", why can't I say I'm str8 there's no debate? or something else corny like that. Its not to put gay people down... Not into name calling or hatemongering (is that a word?) but I have a right to be proud of who I am too, right?

I have no idea! But you have a fair point!
After all Heterosexuality is also a type of sexual orientation and I agree that it should also have its symbol.
One more thing, If they have a parade to celebrate gays, lesbians and others, shouldn't heteros be included too?
Let me know what symbol you come up with.

Jeez, I can't believe the narrow-minded thinking in this discussion! How about the American flag as a symbol for straights? How about freakin' WEDDING RINGS, for chrissakes? Tape a marriage license on your car! We live in an discriminatory society, and the more markers of power you possess -- whiteness, straightness, maleness, wealth -- the more pride you walk through the world with, without having to lift a finger.
So to answer the original question, symbols are socially created; if you need to put something on your car, just choose a flag or any mainstream symbol, and people will know you're straight, if that's what you want. If it's the 70s rainbow decal you're coveting, you can put a rainbow on your car and be proud of whatever you like. People might think you're gay, or against the war (since the PACE symbol is also a rainbow), but either way, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
Good luck.

Babies... babies are the symbol of heterosexual pride! Or try using those two rings... you know the male one with the upward arrow and the female one with the inverted cross... with the two rings linked.
When I was a kid in the late 70s and early 80s, homosexuals hadn't hijacked the rainbow yet.. there was a trend of people having rainbow stickers in the back window of their car... I had one on my Mustang and it didn't have anything to do with homosexuality.

Not sure if there is one, either, but we straight folks have every right to be proud of our heterosexuality. We DO need to take the rainbow back, though, because it is symbol of God's promise to mankind that he would not destroy the earth again by a flood. And since homosexuality is a sin against God, I think their use of it is very blasphemous.
With that said, I love everyone, gay or straight, even though I disagree with their lifestyle. But please, give us our rainbow back!

Every day is hetero pride, why do you need a symbol, especially since you are of the vast majority?

Straight people have no reason to flash some worthless symbol to indicate that they are straight.
The gays do it trying to prove to themselves that they are right. Just a meaningless worthless symbol. Pops

There is one just created by the Russian Government: a white flag with a Man, woman and two children on the sides.
