Trying to get into Duke University ??
I'm going to be 15 when I apply for Duke, early registration. Skipped 6th and 9th grade. Have (so far) a 4.88 GPA weighted, 3.8 weighted. By the time I graduate, I'll have taken 12 AP classes and 5 classes at NC State. Unfortunately, I got 4 B's last year (3 AP classes, 1 honors language class that killed me, it was harder than the 3 aps). I'm 3rd in my class.
I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, starting a STAND club (it's a club against genocide in Darfur), am VP of political club, did debate, swimming, Natl honor society,Speech, Model UN, Student Congress, Science Olympiad, History club in school. Tennis outside of school.
SAT: 720 Math, 730 Reading, 800 Writing.
SAT II: Physics 720, US History 760, Math II 800
AP: Calc AB&BC,Physics, Chem, Bio, Eng lit & comp, US, Euro, and will do Stat, Environmental, World Hist, and Eng Lang & comp next year.
Volunteering 100+ hours at Duke Hospital.
And yet many of my friends seem to be just as good, will I prob get in?

AP exam scores.
On Calc AB, Bio, Euro got 5's, got a 3 in Chem.
This years haven't come back yet.
I WILL go to Duke cuz my parents are doctors there so I only have to pay 10% and I have two sisters coming up fast and I don't want my parents to suffer bcuz of my education. $4000 a year is managable for them, but $40,000 is a bit much (so other big names are out of the question).

why go to Duke? A school that sold out its students as soon as the heat got high because of the need to protect their name.
Save the money go to the University in America with the most Noble Prize winners on faculty: City University of New York
if money is an issue CUNY will only cost you 3200 a year.
Big names are meaningless. Why are people brainwashed into thinking they mean something?

it seems like people only ask these questions when they just want to ******* show off. anyways i did better than you on the sats, arrogant little prick. but i havent taken college classes or skipped 2 grades ooooo arent you special. c'mon you know you have qualifications to get into duke. plus from your avatar youre a minority. you KNOW youre going to get in, why would you ask this unless you wanted to show off?
