Yes, thats basically bronchitis. Antibiotics and some good cough syrup with an expectorant should do the trick.

Yes! A lot depends on the degree, type, or the severity of the infection. Some respiratory infections could be fungal, bacterial, or viral related. So of course, certain drugs have to be administered for certain infections. If you think you are experiencing a respiratory infection, consult a physician ASAP. You do not want the infection to get out of hand.
