What makes you think you are free?

On this 4th of July week-end holiday do you really feel free about anything and do you know how to feel more in control of your own life.It seems like every aspect of life controls us.

What do you do to be free or at least feel like you are in control of something?

We're free to do anything we wish, provided what we wish to do isn't something the government doesn't want us to do.

Freedom is merely the individual choice to confine the scope of desires and ambitions to those contained within the fences constructed by government.

We're free as birds, though the birds we're free as are the ones in cages.

Actually I'm Canadian & this is July 1st, Canada Day but I have to work the holiday. While everyone else goes on about "the long weekend" & how great it is, I have to work it. So I don't actually feel very free at the moment. No holidays are sacred in my job. I worked Christmas last year. Oh well, at least I make the big bucks with holiday pay. Double time & a half. Woo hoo.

What I do to feel like I'm in control of something is I keep a beautiful house. I have it decorated the way I want & I keep it tidy. Of course that still doesn't mean I'm free because I'm a slave to the house & I have to work at a job I despise to be able to afford it...

Nonetheless, the fact that I'm able to have a job & own a house & live a relatively safe existence & do what I want is the advantage of living in a free country. I'm not starving (actually I'm not eating but that's another story) or cold or being shot at. Life could be much much worse. I'm actually pretty lucky.

I am free to think and write. To make choices throughout the day as to how i interact with people. I can chose to change jobs, how to spend my money, what to read and talk about, and what goals to set myself. Most important I am free to plan and use each day. I know many people who have not got some or all these choices, so I feel very free. Maybe you could consider a world where everyone was totally free and not controlled at all. I would not want to live in it!

No one is completely free. Freedom without regulation would be chaos. The American constitution merely acknowledges that we deserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It doesn't guarantee that we're going to get them! The core word here is "pursuit." Should we attain everything we desire, we would be in a sort of paradise, an impossibility for the human species. Along with freedom comes responsibility; we shouldn't expect others to do everything for us. I'm satisfied that America, given current world circumstances, along with the countries of the Western World, is doing everything possible to maintain our freedoms while protecting us from harm. I'm generally in control of my own little world, but there's more to life than our own little corner.

I try to make good decisions and I lead my life and don't let me life lead me. I have relative that have let their environment tell them who they are, THEREFORE they never accomplished anything they would have liked.

I didn't let that happen...I haven't exactly done all I have wanted to do BUT I pay all my own bills without the Govt's help...and I live in a better area than where I grew up, my sons can do even better in life. Plus they say boys can be lead wrong easier than girls.

The main aspect of America is that we have much more freedoms to become than most other countries...

*We can speak, print, poke fun at our government, & each other.

*We can choose our own mates.

*We can dress as we choose.

*We have programs that afford many opportunities for education & choice of employment.

*We can carry protective devices (permitted, of course)

*We are not permanently maimed or executed for misdemeanors.

*We can choose to be religious or not.

*We can choose to be part of our military.

*We have access to vast amounts of info & communication capabilities.

*We can choose our governing system--supposedly, anyway.

I'm pretty happy here, and it seems like many others would like to be part of us. Yes, we are still young, ignorant, and have made our mistakes along the way...but we are growing & becoming as well...I will keep hope...

And yes, we are born with free-will choice, but we have to remember, too, that so is everyone else...now you get into mass consciousness & the fact that like minds attract like energies, which can often waylay the individual's ability to create for themselves...it comes with the territory...any territory...and part of our experience on this Earth.

Hi doggie-three, i rather might love to let you know how one can make unfastened cash, nonetheless I have now not discovered how one can do it but. However if you happen to observe your self, study up to you'll be able to, then you'll be able to capitalize with the skillability you increase , and use that skillability to make the entire cash you prefer. If you uncover some way of having unfastened, please don't hesitate to notify me. Nice to listen to from you, abe
