So how much money do you suppose Al Gore is making off the Live Earth concerts?
I like the people who will give you a thumbs down but won't make a comment. Is it a matter of choosing their battles?
This isn't a question about global warming - it's a question about Al Gore and his concerts. It happens to be in the Global Warming category because that's the cause that Gore's supporting. Please excuse an editorial comment that's not directed toward any one person in particular - I HAVE learned the science surrounding global warming and it wasn't from the internet or television. My education happens to be in Earth & Atmospheric Science with an emphasis in water resources and GIS. You can thump your chest all you want about man-made global warming but it doesn't change the facts. There are some of us with nothing to lose and enough sense and education to say that it's a sensational hoax. Go ahead and try to save the world - in the mean time, I'm going to enjoy it and the laugh that some of you give me.

I just got done watching a clip of Al saying that all the procedes go to the non-profit group Alliance for Climate Protection. What do you know? He's the Chairman of the Board, Alliance for Climate Protection
Chairman, Generation Investment Management
BTW, I just read a Brazillian judge cancelled the South American show in Rio.

Comment for you.
The many posts about the Live Earth concerts are absurd. People who (foolishly) don't believe global warming is real are complaining? How dishonest is that?
The same goes for pretending that Al Gore's personal life has anything at all to do with whether global warming is real.
Forget about Al Gore. Learn the science. Get a clue. These are good places to start.

Conservatives might try listening to these guys:
"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives Tuesday to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"
"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) “It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”
Take the political crap to the Politics section.

I don't have much of a problem with his movie, but I have a BIG problem with the fact that he doesn't practice what he preaches. This concert is another example; if they REALLY want to mean what they say, they would use windmills or solar panels to power the amplifiers!
Correction - According to liveearth.com, they are using renewable energy sources. My bad!

It's anyones guess...that's probably why he isn't going to run for president..he would have to disclose alot of income he's recieving and any ties to companies that sell those so-called off sets.
