How would you feel if MLB games were only 7 innings?

I was looking at the MLB Rule book and found this note added to rule 4.10. Would you welcome this new rule if MLB did truly adopt it?

4.10 (a) National Association leagues may adopt a rule providing that one or both games of a doubleheader shall be seven innings in length. In such games, any of these rules applying to the ninth inning shall apply to the seventh inning.

Honestly I wish I just making this up. But it's there!

Major league baseball is not a National Association league. A National Association league is a minor league. And it applies only to doubleheaders, not single games.

If you're talking about all MLB games, i would hate it. Little Leaguers play 7 innings. And what would they do about all the records, records would never be broken. It would be the worst decision in the history of baseball, the second worst was the DH.

The players and the union would probably jump all over it though, why not?? Less work, salary stays the same. And fans keep paying 40 bucks for tickets for only 3/4 of a real baseball game. The players govern this sport now, not MLB and not the fans.

MLB players get to lolli-gag around the field and only play 7 innings? That's their perfect world.

If you're asking about doubleheaders, i wouldn't really care, they don't have regularly schedule doubleheaders like they used to.

    Not good?

The average 9-inning MLB game is only 2 hours and 35 minutes. A 7-inning game would be just over 2 hours, which in my opinion wouldn't be worth the price of admission.

I can assure you, though, that the MLB will never in a million years change this rule.

i think if its not broke dont fix it. there have been many grt plays & moments that happened in the 8th & 9th innings. making the game shorter will make things better 4 the players in a sense that they wont b as fatigued, but then again, endurance is the word. players r used 2 playing 9 innings anyway. pitchers may say otherwise, but many players would say keep things the way they r. its a good ? though & im glad u asked bcuz i wasnt aware they were going 2 change this. thnks 4 the heads up!

After enjoying 162 video games over a six month season, it won't require an further 2 video games interior the branch sequence to confirm the extra helpful group(s). The season is already too long. Pitchers, notably, are drained and injury on the tip of the season. including even 2 extra video games and then an further around of playoffs could positioned the international sequence into November on a planned foundation. till the variety of known season is decreased to, say, 154 video games, there's no income to the communities to have extra beneficial playoff video games. it is the comparable application for all communities. the final of five sequence supplies communities the motivation to play extra reliable interior the playoffs. If something is comprehensive, the variety of known season video games would desire to be decreased.

The Major Leagues no longer play double headers so it is a moot point. All "double headers" are now Day night double headers so they can sell more tickets. So no way they would ever play a 7 Inning game.

No, I would hate it. What is this, high school ball. This is the Major Leagues. The players have to be man enough to play 9 innings twice in one day.
