I'm frustrated I have to take birth control for a month to try to concieve.?

Some cysts will go away on their own, but birth control pills can help speed up their demise.

A friend tried to make a cyst go away naturally by avoiding dairy, eggs etc. The idea was that the growth hormones given to chickens/cows etc. makes your cysts grow. In her case, the cyst was too large to get smaller naturally, it had to be surgically removed. But the diet might work for a smaller cyst.

Are you seeing an Reproductive Endocrinologist? That is the best thing to do. I just got pregnant after 3 years of trying. What finally worked for me was seeing an RE who prescribed alternating cycles on birth control pills with cycles on fertility medications.

In my case, I was given birth control pills to suppress my ovaries between blasting them with fertility meds. Also had a few cysts show up that required birth control pills to make them go away.

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Disease years ago as a teenager. I was only 14 and not sexually active, however my doctor reccomended I start using the pill to get my body used to having regular periods. I was told I would have a difficult time concieving due to the cysts. Then I gave birth to my first son at age 19, my second at 23 and my third at 26. I feel very blessed. My first one just suprised us but the second and third were planned and I had to use metformin and clomid to help me ovulate. If you are serious about this talk to a second doctor. I think he/she will give you a more positive direction. Good luck

I also have PCOS which it sounds like you do . . . it sounds like you need to be referred and seen by a Infertility specialist called an Reproductive Endocrinologists (RE).

I was on Metformin and used clomid to conceive but after 2 yrs of peeing on sticks, guessing, counting and heartbreak - get help early. it will ease some of the hard times.
