i don't have hibernate on my vista computer?
i don't have a hibernate option and the sleep one just puts my monitor into standby mode... so how can i get hibernate back? i have 1 gb of memory and windows vista ultimate

Your system probably disabled hibernate for a compatibility issue with your hard ware.
Once the feature is removed because of a compatibility issue, it will take a complex registry tweak to attempt to get it back.
This just isn't a worthwhile thing to do unless you have a new motherboard or power supply. If you do then you should re-install windows from scratch.
