Suggestions on a quick "city tour" during 9+ hour layover in Seoul Airport?
I'll be stuck in a 9+ hour layover in Seoul in late August. I have never been to Korea, and I'm interested to hear from you on what to do, where to go, what to eat and how do I do all that.
I know the airport is a distance away from the city, any easy transport? Language barriers (is English widely understood)? Do they run city tours from the airport for passengers (like they do in Singapore)?
Having not much time, I would feel more comfortable in something organized rather than running out on my own, but if I can't find an organized tour, I would do it anyway.
The longer and more detailed your answer, the better!
My layover is from 8:45am - 6:05pm. Aug 28. Any special events/festivals going on at that time?

If your layover is in the daytime (you're SOL if it's at night!!), you might find this link helpful!

You should visit http://english.koreahas.com/
They run organised full day, half day tours around Seoul. If you dont want to make a booking for those tours, then i guess the Seoul City Tour Bus is one of your other options. All you have to do is hop onto the bus and it circles around the city. you can get off at where you want to, and you can just get back on at where you got off and continue with the tour. This is more yourself touring. the bus just takes you to places of interests.
