Yes, the service is closing on Sept. 20. Any pics stored there after that date will be deleted permanently. The transfer process to one of five photo hosting services has begun. Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/photos/photos2/cl... to read about all the details regarding the Yahoo! photos closing.

Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Photobucket are the services included in the one-time automatic transfer from Yahoo! Photos. Kodak Gallery has a large free storage, I heard, so those with lots of pictures may want to look around at the differences between services first (make sure to read the FINE print! LOL!). Photobucket has been getting great reviews and Flickr is owned by Yahoo. If you are interested in sharing your photos online, then it's between Flickr and Photobucket in my opinion (see this person's blog that compares two services at http://mashable.com/2007/05/07/photobucket-myspace... and another one at http://avc.blogs.com/a_vc/2007/03/thinking_about_....

    ).

However, Flickr is the only one compatible with your photos module on your 360 top page. I recommend setting up a free account with Flickr if you plan to use your Photos module.

Otherwise, you can use any service you like with the rest of your 360 space. You may want to consider creating slideshows to embed in a blog entry (see photobucket.com or slide.com to create one and get an EMBED code, for example) and then choose to highlight the entry to make it appear on the top right side of your blog. I use slide.com .

    - Find the embed code for the album that you want to add.

    - Click on "My Blog" and create a new entry.

    - Type some text in the actual entry space as well, as it might not save.

    - Click the box next to "View HTML source" in the upper right of the entry space before adding code.

    - Copy the embed code and paste it into the space.

    - Click "Show Options" link at the bottom of the entry and click the highlight option.

    - Click "Save" button and see if it appears. Click the box next to "View HTML source" to get back to regular view if necessary.

Gee, that's serious...so serious I guess I should be capitalizing all of my words too! I wonder why I don't...oh, because it makes you look like an idiot.

I'm sure you'll find a way to deal.
