DavidG cheats???

Ok, here is my take on this... I don't think he is cheating like he has multiple accounts and votes for himself. However, from my experience there are more Gordon fans on Y/A than any others and I guess several of them vote for DavidG's answers... I don't think it would work for Jr fans or any others for that matter, just not enough of them of on here... I've voted for best answers and it seems that no matter what the question is about DavidG has 4 or 5 votes.

I agree that David is the most respectable person on here and I am glad he is the top answerer. Your correct in that it is in no way his fault that people vote for his answers. However, it shouldn't be a popularity contest... You shouldn't get the best answer award just for being the most likeable person on here...

Well Short, I haven't been on in awhile and I have no idea what's going on. Why have people been ganging up on DavidG.? From everything I know about him he is a nice person and almost always answers people's questions with a pretty straight forward answer. I don't understand what the problem is w/ the whole signing "jeff gordon rules" at the end. He has always done this; just like I put "GO #24!!" when I finish answering. Short, fill me in; evidently I have missed out on a lot!!!

I have seen several people that will get all, or at least the vast majority of best answers from a few IDs. Many different people vote for david g's answers because they like him. That doesn't mean he always has the actual "best answer" all the time his gets chosen it just means they are voting for someone that has a positive attitude. With all the trolls and other people with hidden agendas I just don't see where this is an issue at all. Here's another question, why do so many people hide their questions and answers? Are they afraid of what we might discover? It's pretty easy to tell when someone is manipulating the system to gain points and accumulate a bunch of "gift" best answers. People attack his driver, owner and teammates all the time and it's likely that Jeff Gordon supporters vote for his answers in a show of support. Now I think people are attacking him because of their hate for anything Hendrick. That is much more sad than ANYTHING I've ever seen david g say or do in this forum. I pretty much always decide the best answerer for my own questions and I think anybody worried about who might get voted for should do the same.

When you ask a question on this forum, the person who asks the question should have the courtesy of choosing the best answer. Most questions should not have to go to voting. When it is in voting, I'm sure people look for the "Jeff Gordon Rules" to vote for David G, just like they can for "Have a Nice Day" from tregosteevo.

Anyway, we're all just having fun right?

I would like to apologize to everyone for getting this all started. My only intention was to make a statement to the people who vote without reading. DavidG is without a doubt, one of the most respectable people on here. I do not think of the votes, as David cheating. I know that it is not him or his family voting, over and over, it is fellow Gordon fans. I completely respect the fact that DavidG supports his driver. I hope David continues with his "Jeff Gordon Rules!!". My only hope is for people to read before they vote.

I enjoyed reading David G's answers. They are always honest and straight forward and informative. He's always respectful of other drivers and their fans.

Hang in there David G and keep the answers coming!

At least he has someone "cheating" FOR him. I have been having trouble with some teenage punk troll (TennisAceRG) with about 50 screen names asking questions, then picking his answer as best, even when his answer is WRONG. Once, he asked if anyone knew any CORR (Championship Off Road Racing) drivers. I rattled off a list of 5 of my friends from CORR. He came back, picked one of my drivers, then said that I had picked too many drivers, he only wanted one. That's ok.....I'll stand on my merits, and get my points the right way, by providing whatever information I can on facts I KNOW to be true.

All I can say is who cares? No one on answers is going for the Presidency of the US by votes, we aren't going for a million dollars and we don't decide the fate of other people by the votes.

Are people petty enough to complain about something as small as best answerer on Yahoo answers? That's pretty bad. I have enough other things to worry about than that. Maybe others have too much time on their hands.

I have a 15% best answer rating. I answer questions as honestly as possible. If people don't like my answer, so what. I'm not on this earth to please everyone. Only a select few.

People need to grow up. If you like my answer, great. If you don't, so what.

You go short.While I havent been at this very long a little over a month or so,Ive already learned what participants are must reads and even some who aren't.Just like getting thumbs up and thumbs down the best answer is very subjective and often mirror the askers own views more then anything else.So what possible difference can it make? Davids answers are almost always on point as are yours and several others.(not sucking up to short its true).But most of all things like best answers and thumbs down is someones opinion,nothing more.If we learn nothing more from this forum I think we can learn to laugh at ourselves a little more and who knows we might learn something about our favorite sport while doing so.

Well all I can say is Thank all of you,this is about Nascar and it is not a competition for the most votes.I have always put Jeff Gordon Rules on my answers because he is my favorite driver. I am not obsessed with him or do I talk trash about other drivers.I went on this forum a while back just to talk about Nascar and get my mind off of rebuilding my business and house from Katrina. I have met a lot real cool Nascar friends and it has been a good way to forget about all of my problems for a while.Thanks again !
